Spookyman & His Acousmatic Orchestra is a one-man-band performance where blues, exotica influences, old-laboratory electronics and handmade sound devices come to life on stage.
Spookyman sings, plays guitar and conducts a strange orchestra of modified machines, tapes, synthesizers, speakers, televisions and voices from another time. The result is not just a concert, but a cinematic stage experience: raw, hypnotic, ironic, unsettling and deeply physical.
Suitable for clubs, festivals, small theatres, alternative venues, blues/garage/exotica events, experimental music nights and contexts dedicated to visionary, unconventional sounds.
SPOOKYMAN, the pseudonym of Giulio Allegretti, is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound researcher from Rome.
He defines his music as Weird Music or Atomic Music: a mixture of blues, electronics, exotica, acousmatic sound, lo-fi aesthetics and retro-futuristic imagery. Passionate about art, cinema and electronics, he builds and modifies musical devices, visual apparatuses and imaginary stage elements, including a TV Oscilloscope, the Acousmophone and the virtual presence Olivia.
Active since 2008 as a one-man band, Spookyman has performed across Europe and the United States, bringing his music to clubs, small theatres, festivals and independent cultural spaces. In 2024 he toured the United States with his Acousmatic Orchestra, performing 18 shows across California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. In 2025 he represented Italy in the Solo/Duo category at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
His new album, The Spookalicious Space Sound of Spookyman & His Acousmatic Orchestra, will be released on July 31, 2026 by Voodoo Rhythm Records.

Spookyman builds and modifies part of his own stage equipment, turning sound devices, screens and speakers into living presences within the show.
A Raspberry Pi-based stage machine designed to bring the Acousmatic Orchestra to life. It controls lights, video, sounds and MIDI signals, turning the show into an electric ceremony suspended between ghosts, handmade technology and laboratory imagination.
A multi-speaker instrument designed to spread voices, noises and mysterious signals through several speakers, turning sound into a physical presence on stage.
A virtual presence living inside an old television, accompanying the audience through the strange rituals of the Acousmatic Orchestra.
A modified television set used to visualize sound waves in real time, transforming frequencies into raw, hypnotic electric drawings.
A collection of synthesizers, modified tape players, speakers and strange electronic devices used to summon voices, drones, crooked rhythms and ghost transmissions from Spookyman’s sonic archive.
"If you plan on only attending one live musical event in your life, this is it!"
